You guysssss, it's hereeeeee!
I am honestly so excited to make this announcment. I've been hinting at it so much, and basically sitting there like an overexcited five-year-old waiting for sweets. I'm dying to talk about this novel, and I haven't been able to, and it is the most unique kind of torture to be the author and not be able to talk about your book because no one's read it yet and SPOILERS.
Lots and lots of spoilers.
I mean, I'm not rubbing my hands together and laughing evilly right now, but feel free to picture me that way if you want...
Anyway, today is the day that I finally get to share the first tidbit with you, the first (visible) step in a journey which began last July, and will culminate this coming July.
That's right, my new novel WICKED BLOOD will be published on 19 JULY 2022. Save the date!
Aaaaand here is the most beautiful, gorgeous, amazing cover I have EVER seen. I am honestly blown away by this cover design by Ebook Launch. They are super. They did Wicked Magic's cover, too, and I swear every cover they do is better than the last one.

I actually first drafted Wicked Blood back in early 2020, but most of that got scrapped along the way. After multiple rewrites, I am incredibly proud to present to you the standalone sequel to Wicked Magic. That's right--if you haven't read book one, don't worry. Both books are standalones, as will be book three. Wicked Blood is Cynthia's story, following her journey to Berlin after graduating school, one and a half years after the events of Wicked Magic. She wants a bit of a holiday, a break from her overprotective mother, and maybe to start understanding who shifters are and what their place in the world is... but of course, she gets so much more than that. There's romance, danger, politics, and lots of bodies. Seriously, this book is chock full of bodies, not going to lie, I feel no guilt over this situation.
I can't wait for you to read it. Unfortunately, I have to, because I'm a mean girl and I set the launch date in July. Whatever will we do to tide ourselves over?
Well, I'm going to be writing the next book. You can go read the first one. It's available on Kindle Unlimited, and I promise you, it's worth it.

Hey guys!
Long time no see! Sorry I took a step back from the blog for a bit, but life's been hectic. Between authoring (more work than I expected), working my "real" job (most days I try not to leave the fantasy land where being an author is my real job), moving house, being sick, Christmas, having family over, and a thousand other things, there just wasn't time to dedicate to the blog. BUT! I'm back, and my New Year's Resolution is (the same as every year) CONSISTENCY. That means regular posting on the blog.
We'll see how that goes (I can see my mum giving me dubious looks from across the room).
Anyway, the good news is that I have lots of fun stuff to announce.
First up--and if you're subscribed to my newsletter then you'll already know this... I FINISHED BOOK TWO!
I literally lived in a state of awe and surrealism for several days after finishing it. I poured everything into that manuscript, and I'm so proud of it. I can't wait for you guys to read it.
Editing is kicking off in the next few weeks, so I'll be able to update you on how that's going. There will also be an announcement very soon about the publishing date, so keep an eye out for that!

So, I'm pleased to announce that from 1 Feb 2022, Wicked Magic will be available on Kindle Unlimited!
This does mean that it will be removed from other platforms. So if you're looking to purchase the book via Kobo, Nook, Google Play, or Apple Books, please do so before February 1st!
After that, Wicked Magic will only be available on Amazon. The list price won't change, but if you have Kindle Unlimited, you will be able to download it for free as part of your subscription.

It’s a weird fact of life that you want to talk about something so badly, and when you finally have the chance to do it, you just don’t know what to say.
Publishing Wicked Magic is a bit like that for me. It’s been my whole life for so long, taking up literally hours of every day, and now I can actually talk about it and my brain has just gone blank…
…which is maybe why this post is about two weeks late.
But anyway.
I am extraordinarily proud to announce that my debut novel is now launched. Wicked Magic was first written in late 2019/early 2020. I actually wrote the whole thing in the space of about two months, including a three-week writing break over Christmas. Nathan really wanted his story to be told.
Then I sat on it for over a year.
2020 was a really bad year for all of us, I think we can all agree. It wasn’t a year of reaching for dreams for me, that’s for sure. I thought 2021 would be better, and truth be told, this year has been a kick up the behind.
But we’re reaching for it anyway.
I picked a date, edited 20,000 words out of the manuscript, cleaned it up, cried over typos, and panicked enough to give my mum grey hairs, but it is finally here.
Wicked Magic is a coming-of-age tale that combines a lot of things dear to my heart: Oxford, the place I studied and lived for many years. Paranormal fantasy, which is my first love when it comes to books. And being a teenager and navigating those tricky years when you’re trying to find your place in the world and forge a new relationship with your parents.
These are all things I love to write, and you can expect to see many more novels exploring these things (in this series and in others).
The book follows Nathan, a teenage vampire hunter, who struggles to figure out what he really wants in life… and if you want to read more about his tales, you can buy it at all major e-retailers. More information on my Books page!

Wicked Magic 2?
In other bookish news, I am over halfway with drafting the next book. There’s always a point in the middle of writing where it feels like it’s taking forever and you’ll never get to the end, but I just have to keep reminding myself that I’ve reached the top of the hill, and now I’m on my way down again. Actually, the hardest part is done, establishing who the characters are and figuring out the plot. Any mistakes I make now will be manageable and easily fixed during the editing stage.
